Broody Hen Breaker

If you're raising chicks, a broody hen is a blessing. On the other hand, if all you want is eggs to eat, a broody hen is a bother and nuisance. I use an old rabbit hutch nestled behind a metal shed, in the shade, out of sight.

One over-night. I let her out the next morning and had to run her off the nest twice in the morning. From then on, she's another one of the girls. Out and about all day.

I posted a video on YouTube about it.   Broody Hen

  1. Congratulations! Be safe and God bless.

  2. Just a note. this comment did not moderate. Don't know if you already turned it off or if there is a global setting you need to change?

    1. That's because this is 'the old' Chickens Out Yonder blog. I didn't even know I still had it. Seemed an appropriate place to put the Broody Breaker video. ;)
Course, I didn't get email notification about your comment. But, that's fixed now. May or may not use this blog regularly.
